If you don’t own any console but prefer PC games , iTWINS released the PC version of previously posted Superbike World Championship 09. The release and game features are completely same. It’s also a Multi5 release with 5 different languages included. The only difference is the size which is much smaller, just 2.6 GB.
Every feature of the game has been dramatically improved from the previous year. New 3D environments, new teams, complete track overhaul, new gameplay structure, new game modes, revamped user interface. The pits have been redesigned to be as close to reality as a picture could be. The performance of the motorbikes is based on exact data from their real counterparts and the player can fine-tune every single setting a real race engineer can. Not to mention the podium, which is there, waiting for the winner.
First thing that makes this game great has to be the graphics. On the PC its really stellar looking. From the on board cam shots to the 3rd person behind shots. The tracks, track livery and crowds looks great.
The game plays like all the previous versions of the SBK series before it (like a real Simulator). Ive played them from the SBK2000 version to the SBK2001 which is still my favorite one to the new 2009 version. Its hard in the begging to grasp it if you've never played a SBK game but after a good few hours you'll be richly rewarded.
My only gripe so far is that the game seems a bit slow, and its not my pc that is slow or maybe its just that MotoGP 08 feels like a faster game. And then my biggest gripe is with the on board view options, they are great but boy why cant they all learn from SBK2001 on board views. Nobody who rides a motorcycle tilts their head when cornering, you keep it horizontal so that you can see what is up ahead. Why is it then that all motorcycle on board views are falling into this trap except SBK-2001?
Apart from this i give this game a big thumbs up for any speed junkie.
